Logline : After her dog is killed by the neighbor’s car, 10-year-old Sophia embarks on a darkly whimsical quest for revenge, secretly practicing driving and spiraling into a journey of loss and guilt while navigating an emotional void that blurs reality and identity.

Location: Columbia, SC. Actors will be local hire only.

Shoot Dates : We aim for a 5-6 week shoot beginning early June. Exact dates TBD.

TAPING INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ THOROUGHLY!

1. Sides

Please choose the sides (scene) with the character you are auditioning for. You can find the audition sides by clicking on this link.

2. Slate

In a medium close-up shot (head & shoulders) please start recording then state the following:

  1. Name

  2. Height

  3. Tell us about a recent dream or nightmare.

*There is no need to pause recording between the slate and the scene. However, if you do record two files please use an app (like iMovie) to merge the two together.

2. Scene

Please record a video of yourself reading the scene with someone else reading the other lines. The ideal setup is a medium shot in front of a simple background.

ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL INSTRUCTIONS *Keep reading, you're almost there!*

  1. Do not stress about making your audition video high tech. We just need to be able to see and hear you. Recording on a phone is okay!

  2. Please label your video as follows: "First Name_Last Name - ROLE”; Example: Sam_Smith - BOB

  3. Save your audition video online (Google Drive, YouTube, or Vimeo). We cannot accept .mp4 files.

  4. When you upload the online video it should be ‘unlisted.’ That is: not visible to anyone without direct access to the link.

  5. When your audition video link is ready, fill out this form (you can also click the button “submit here for a role”) and include your audition link.
